Securamax Autos

Customer Sales & Showroom Policy

Effective Date: 29 August 2026

1. About This Policy

Securamax Autos is committed to providing customers with a professional, transparent, and fair vehicle-buying experience. This policy sets out our general terms and procedures for vehicle sales, payments, vehicle collection, part-exchange, complaints, and customer responsibilities.

This policy should be read together with the specific terms of any vehicle purchase agreement.

2. Vehicle Information

Securamax Autos aims to provide accurate and clear information about every vehicle advertised for sale, including where applicable:

  • Make, model, specification and registration details.
  • Mileage.
  • MOT status.
  • Service history available to us.
  • Number of previous keepers, where available.
  • Known damage or significant defects.
  • Vehicle condition and photographs.
  • Any relevant finance or ownership information.

Customers are encouraged to inspect and test-drive a vehicle before purchase and to ask questions about its condition, history and specification.

3. Vehicle Inspection and Test Drives

Customers may request a test drive, subject to our requirements.

Before a test drive:

  • The customer may be required to provide a valid driving licence.
  • Appropriate insurance requirements must be satisfied.
  • The customer must comply with UK road traffic laws.
  • A Securamax Autos representative may accompany the customer.
  • Test drives may be subject to reasonable mileage, route or time restrictions.

Customers must notify Securamax Autos of any relevant driving restrictions or circumstances that may affect their ability to drive the vehicle safely and legally.

4. Vehicle Pricing

Prices displayed by Securamax Autos will be clearly stated and will identify any applicable charges.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, customers should confirm with Securamax Autos what is included in the advertised price, including:

  • Vehicle preparation.
  • Warranty arrangements.
  • Delivery or collection charges.
  • Optional products or services.
  • Registration-related costs, where applicable.

No optional product or service should be treated as mandatory unless required by law or expressly agreed as part of the purchase.

5. Deposits and Reservations

A customer may be asked to pay a deposit to reserve a vehicle.

Before paying a deposit, the customer should be informed of:

  • The deposit amount.
  • The period for which the vehicle will be reserved.
  • Whether the deposit is refundable or non-refundable.
  • Any conditions applying to cancellation.
  • Any circumstances in which Securamax Autos may retain or return the deposit.

Deposit arrangements will be confirmed in writing where appropriate.

6. Payment

Securamax Autos accepts payment methods approved by the business.

For vehicle purchases:

  • Payment must be received and cleared before the vehicle is released unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Securamax Autos may request identification and/or additional information where required for legal, regulatory or fraud-prevention purposes.
  • Cash payments, bank transfers and finance arrangements may be subject to additional verification.
  • Securamax Autos reserves the right to delay vehicle collection where payment has not cleared or where reasonable fraud-prevention checks are incomplete.

7. Vehicle Collection and Delivery

Before a vehicle is collected or delivered, customers should ensure that the agreed purchase arrangements have been completed.

At collection:

  • The customer may be asked to inspect the vehicle.
  • Required documentation will be provided where applicable.
  • The customer should raise any immediately apparent concerns before taking possession of the vehicle.
  • The customer is responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate insurance before driving the vehicle on public roads.

Delivery arrangements, costs and estimated times will be confirmed separately where applicable.

8. Vehicle Condition and Pre-Sale Preparation

Vehicles may be used, previously owned vehicles and therefore may show reasonable signs of age, mileage and use.

Securamax Autos will seek to ensure that vehicles offered for sale meet applicable legal requirements and are prepared appropriately for sale.

Customers should understand that cosmetic imperfections consistent with the vehicle's age and mileage may exist. Any significant known issue should be disclosed where required.

9. Warranties and Consumer Rights

Where a Securamax Autos vehicle is sold with a warranty, the warranty terms will be provided to the customer.

Any warranty provided by Securamax Autos is in addition to, and does not remove or reduce, the customer's statutory rights.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under UK law.

10. Part Exchange

Securamax Autos may accept vehicles in part exchange subject to inspection and valuation.

Part-exchange valuations may depend on:

  • Vehicle condition.
  • Mileage.
  • Service history.
  • Outstanding finance.
  • Accident or damage history.
  • Vehicle specification.
  • Market conditions.
  • Accuracy of information supplied by the customer.

The final valuation may be subject to physical inspection and verification of the information provided.

Customers must disclose any outstanding finance, significant damage, known mechanical problems or other material information relating to a part-exchange vehicle.

11. Vehicle Finance

Where finance is offered or introduced through Securamax Autos, customers will receive information about the relevant finance arrangement before entering into the agreement.

Finance approval is subject to the requirements of the relevant finance provider.

Customers should carefully review all finance documentation, including the amount borrowed, interest rate, term, fees and total amount payable, before signing.

12. Customer Identification and Fraud Prevention

Securamax Autos may carry out reasonable identity, payment and fraud-prevention checks.

Customers may be asked to provide appropriate identification and supporting information before completing a transaction or collecting a vehicle.

We reserve the right to delay or refuse a transaction where we have reasonable concerns regarding fraud, identity, payment, vehicle ownership or compliance with applicable legal requirements.

13. Privacy and Personal Data

Securamax Autos will handle customer personal information in accordance with applicable UK data-protection legislation and its Privacy Notice.

Customer information will only be used, stored and shared where there is a lawful basis to do so.

Customers may contact Securamax Autos regarding questions about the handling of their personal information.

14. Complaints Procedure

Securamax Autos aims to resolve customer concerns promptly and fairly.

Customers should initially contact the showroom and provide:

  • Their name and contact details.
  • Vehicle registration or purchase reference.
  • Details of the issue.
  • Relevant dates.
  • Supporting documents or photographs where appropriate.
  • The outcome they are seeking.

We will investigate complaints and aim to provide an appropriate response within a reasonable period.

Nothing in this complaints procedure prevents a customer from exercising any statutory rights or pursuing any applicable alternative dispute-resolution or legal process.

15. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are expected to:

  • Provide accurate information.
  • Read and understand relevant sales and finance documentation before signing.
  • Inspect the vehicle and raise questions before purchase where appropriate.
  • Ensure they are legally entitled and insured to drive the vehicle.
  • Make payments in accordance with the agreed terms.
  • Notify Securamax Autos promptly if they identify an issue following purchase.

16. Changes to This Policy

Securamax Autos may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in its business practices or applicable legal requirements.

The version applicable to a particular transaction will be the version provided or referenced at the relevant time, subject to the customer's statutory rights and contractual terms.
